How did you start running?

A colleague with a marathon background inspired me to start running in 2012. I started with 2-3km 2 times a week with the goal of successfully running the entire 10km Midnattsloppet. To today have a RunStreak of 3 years+ and run 160km/week.

Do you have a special ritual before a race?

Ritual or alternative disturbing moment for the roommate is that I repack the bag 3-4 times before the race, although I know that everything is included.

What are your best recovery tips after a race?

Energy, fluids, sleep and active rest, I believe in movement every day, they make the body feel good. Then I have a hard time sitting still, so they are a contributing factor to movement for me. I think they are the key to good recovery.

On the days you don't feel like working out, what motivates you to do it anyway?

My RunStreak contributes a lot to getting out the unmotivated sessions, but I have a belief that when I am least motivated, they are the most important to get me out. Going out when everything is working, the sun is shining and there is no wind is easy, but a race that is, for example, in November, the weather is usually completely different. I have managed to turn the roughest days into both fun and rewarding sessions, because when the race is on, the weather is what it is.

Which shoe from Topo is your favorite and why?

I run mostly trail and I run in all weathers so the shoe must have: a lot of feel, compliance/flexibility, good grip on all surfaces and tempos so I run, Light, good drainage, fast and comfortable to be out on the trails for a long time and then Topo MTN Racer 3 is my shoe of choice.

It covers all my requirements and I feel I can rely on it no matter what or where I end up.
